What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The game isn't finished yet, and likely won't be finished for a while. I'm just a single developer with a full-time job, so even if I spent all my free time on this it'd take quite a while to fully realize.
Additionally, community feedback and suggestions, especially to a new developer on Steam like me, are vital.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“This will largely depend on the amount of free time I can muster up throughout development. The goal is to have the first few levels done by the time the Demo comes out in February, and finish Chapter 1 throughout 2026.
Subsequent Chapters would release as they are finished, until the final one, concluding early access.
This time frame may shift further, depending on what hurdles may arise during development or when suggestions by the community are considered.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to be a finalized, stable version of the game, featuring all chapters and their respective content. Anything past that would be patches, bug fixes and bonus content.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Right now its very early days. A lot of the assets, code, audio and gameplay are lifted straight from the original game jam version. Most of these will be replaced and reworked before the release of Chapter 1, most likely.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The plan is to gradually raise the price as the game becomes increasingly feature and content complete. At the very latest the price will be reevaluated for the final release of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I'd love to have them help out with reporting any and all bugs, crashes or similar.
However, suggestions and ideas for the sake of balance or flow are always welcome!
For any of that or anything else, there exists my Email.
Additionally, the Steam Discussion boards/Steam Forums exist, and act as a way to put those out there as well!”

About This Game

Plug Priority is a game where you play as a telephone exchange operator at the dawn of the 20th century, connecting callers to others!

The job is simple: People call your exchange, you listen for who they'd like to talk to and you make sure they reach that person! Listen carefully, and perhaps you'll catch some bits and pieces about what this town's residents are like.

  • Do your best to respond to calls as quickly as possible

  • Make sure the people that call you get connected to who they want to talk to

  • Ensure service is always perfect

  • Experience little bits and pieces of conversation throughout the decades as the sole employee of the telephone exchange

You take the role of Mandy, a young, toasted-marshmallow-furred, goat lady who just started her job at the town's brand new telephone exchange in the beautiful year of 1920!

While she's still new at the job, and was pretty much just dropped into the role via happenstance, and lack of other capable and/or reliable applicants, she does the best she can.

Seeing as the job pays well, keeps you busy and has reasonable work hours, why not stick around for a while?
