What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“MATH FPS is a mix of two genres: a fast-paced shooter and an educational tool. We need to know if we got that balance right. Early Access is the only way to get real feedback from players on what's fun and what's not. Is the math too hard? Is the action too fast? We're counting on the community to help us find that sweet spot and guide what new features (like more math subjects or new modes) we should build next.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We're planning for about 2 to 3 months. This gives us enough time to listen to feedback, add the new features we have planned, and polish the game properly without rushing it.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to be a more complete and polished experience. The current version already has the core wave-survival mode and all 5 math practice modes. For the 1.0 release, we plan to add more advanced math subjects (like fractions, percentages, etc.), new enemy types, new arenas, and features like Steam Leaderboards. We'll also use all the community feedback to fix bugs and improve the overall feel.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version of MATH FPS is feature-complete and includes the core wave-based survival mode, as well as all five practice game modes (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, and Mixed). All features and modes described in the 'About This Game' section are fully implemented and playable in the current build.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features. The current Early Access price is a lower price to thank the community for supporting the game and helping us with feedback. We'll have a final price increase when the game officially launches out of Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We'll be living in the Steam Discussion forums. We need feedback on everything: bug reports, game balance, and especially what you find fun or boring. We want to know what new math subjects or game modes you want to see, and we'll use that feedback to decide what we work on next.”

About This Game

In MATH FPS, your trigger finger is only as good as your brain. This is a fast-paced arena shooter with a simple rule: solve the math to kill the bot. Forget aiming for the head. You need to aim for the answer.

Here’s how it works: Every bot has a math problem over its head (like "7 x 6"), and the correct answer (like "42") is painted on one of its body parts. You must shoot the body part with the correct number to do any damage. A perfect headshot is useless if the answer is on the leg!

Jump into a tough, wave-based survival mode. The longer you last, the harder it gets. You'll face more bots with tougher math problems every round, pushing your shooting and your thinking skills to the limit.

Need to brush up on a specific subject? No problem. Jump into dedicated game modes to master your skills:

  • Addition

  • Subtraction

  • Multiplication

  • Division

  • Mixed Mode (The ultimate test with all problem types)
