The Archaeologists is a single-player settlement builder and logistics simulation.

SUMMARY

Lead your people as they set out to return to an ancient land and reconcile with the spurned god who dwells atop the mountain. Establish settlements to help them put down new roots in this old soil. Raise grand structures to carry them ever upward and to link their populations into a single thriving community. As you climb, dig into the earth beneath their feet and uncover the past that they have long forgotten.

THRIVE

Managing your first settlement will be reasonably straightforward and should feel quite familiar. Grow your settlement by placing homes, workplaces, and administrative buildings across a tiled map.

Forage, foster, manufacture and trade your way to economic success. This would be easy, but for the unwelcome attention of the king's ambassador, who seems to always be around here somewhere, muttering about tax bands.

EXPLORE

In time, your adventure will lead you to explore the whole island and to reach up towards the top of the mountain. Construct crossings to connect areas of the mountain, open new maps, and found new settlements.

As you expand, you will need to manage all of your settlements simultaneously, shipping resources between them to satisfy local needs. Coordinating the efforts of your workers across settlements adds interesting logistical challenges.

DIG

As you progress, you should commit resources to the most important job of all - archaeology. Uncover the island's past, as well as learning the story of how your own people have come to these lands.
