About This Game

Fear, but stupid is a first-person horror game that blends tense atmosphere with dark humor and absurd situations. Each level tells its own short story, mixing parody, creepy environments, and unexpected moments.

Your goal is simple: escape.
To do that, you must explore dark locations, search for keys, solve puzzles, find clues, open safes, and survive while enemies hunt you down. There are no weapons, so you must rely on stealth, smart movement, and careful use of your flashlight to stay alive.

Enemies can hear your movements and actions, meaning noise management is critical. Running, interacting with objects, or making mistakes can attract dangerous attention, forcing you to think carefully about every step you take.

Some levels are more comedic and parody famous characters, cartoons, or exaggerated personalities, while others lean into serious horror and pure tension. The tone changes depending on the level, keeping the experience fresh and unpredictable.

Progressing through the game unlocks new levels and bonus stages. Clues such as notes and papers can appear in random locations and may contain important information like passwords for safes or hidden objectives, encouraging exploration and replayability.

The game features:

  • First-person horror gameplay

  • Puzzle solving and exploration

  • Key hunting, safes, and hidden clues

  • Enemy that hunt the player

  • Strategic flashlight usage in dark environments

  • Multiple short levels with different stories and themes

  • Dark humor mixed with serious horror

  • Gore elements

  • PS2-inspired visual style

  • Horror soundtrack

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

This game contains mature themes presented in a satirical and critical context.
It includes the presence of extremist symbols (e.g. Nazi and fascist imagery) used for parody, mockery, and dark humor, with no endorsement or glorification of real-world ideologies.
The game also contains political satire referencing multiple ideologies (including fascism, libertarianism, and authoritarian regimes) purely for comedic and critical purposes.

Additionally, the game features stylized violence with blood and occasional gore (such as decapitated bodies), presented in a non-realistic, exaggerated manner.

There is minor non-explicit sexual innuendo in the form of an absurd visual gag (a cartoon character with a green, toy-like head). No sexual acts, nudity, or explicit sexual content are present.
