About This Demo

Welcome to A Kingdom of Soil

In a small town on the borders of a kingdom torn by war, the fields lie neglected and bandits roam freely. The shadow of local lords and tax collectors looms over the people, while the once-bustling streets have slowly fallen silent.

A letter from the village elder calls you back to the place you once called home.

The tavern your grandfather left behind has been taken over by strangers, and the village you remember is no longer quite the same.

And so, your journey home marks the beginning of a new story.

A Kingdom of Soil is a medieval pixel-art RPG combining life simulation, management, and adventure. Explore your hometown, get to know its inhabitants, uncover the stories hidden within the village, and prepare to reclaim your family's tavern.

A Story of Homecoming

In these troubled times, everyone has a story to tell, and secrets they would rather keep buried.

Follow the traces of your past and reconnect with faces both familiar and unfamiliar. From a simple conversation or an unexpected letter to a secret mission under the cover of night, you will gradually find yourself drawn into the events unfolding around the town.

And this is only the beginning.

A Simple Life in the Countryside

Even in times of turmoil, everyday life goes on.

Cultivate the land, sow seeds, harvest crops, go fishing, and gather resources as you discover your own pace of life in the village and its surrounding forests.

Leave your worries behind for a while and enjoy the quiet, simple pleasures of living off the land.

Crafting and Management

Gather materials, prepare meals, experiment with brewing, and make a living through the work of your own hands.

From the crops you grow to the meals you serve, every little achievement comes from your own efforts.

As your journey continues, you will eventually have the opportunity to restore your family's tavern, turning it once again into a welcoming gathering place for travelers and villagers alike.

Exploration and Adventure

Beyond the village, the world is not always peaceful.

Venture through forests, explore hidden corners, and cross paths with people from all walks of life. Sometimes, solving a problem takes more than courage. A little patience and clever thinking can go a long way.

Choose how you approach each situation, but remember that your actions may have consequences.
