Athelan Battlegrounds is a free-to-play, turn-based tactics game with no meta progression and no pay-to-win. It's a game made for players who thrive in a skill-based competitive environment and promises to be easy to learn but incredibly difficult to master!

BUILD YOUR OWN TEAMS AND DECORATE YOUR BOARD

Choose your champions (or duplicates of your favorites!) and place them wherever you like on your side of the board. Save the loadout so you can quickly swap between teams before heading to the PvP queues! Customize your champion skins, board tiles, arena and death benches. Once again, NO pay-to-win here. Cosmetics only!

PLAY AGAINST OTHER PLAYERS IN A TURN-BASED TEST OF SKILL

Duke it out against other players and their unique team compositions in a neon-lit cyberpunk arena. No 2 matches are ever the same! Each turn, choose a champion who'll be able to move and attack using one of their 2 abilities. Manage cooldowns, positioning, tempo and attack strategy to wipe out the enemy team for a win.

CHILL OUT IN THE PUZZLE AREA

For those who are tired of getting beat up in the PvP queues, we also have a puzzle maker where players can create custom levels for other players to play. These puzzles have entirely new mechanics and objectives allowing you to really get creative and even make mini D&D campaigns using the champions of the game. Infinite content for those who really want to learn everything about the game mechanics.

A COMPETITIVE SCENE WITH E-SPORTS STREAMS AND PRIZES

If you think you're ready for a real challenge, sign up for one of our regular tournaments where you could win the title of best player, a custom in-game profile icon and prize money! If you instead prefer to grab some pop corn and enjoy the show, you can watch the e-sports stream live where we cover the tournaments with a shoutcaster and the game designer!

The lore of the game depicts an all powerful civilization overseeing intergalactic conquest. The implication being that they prevent senseless war, but failure to obey them could lead to planetary genocide. Planets must submit a champion for eternal servitude in the Athelan Battlegrounds.
