About This Game

Will You Be My Disciple? is a choice-driven cult management game built around dynamic encounters and characters. At the beginning of each game, you choose a Doctrine that defines your cult’s belief system and determines how the world responds to your leadership. Every decision you make then plays out within that doctrine’s rules, shaping your followers’ loyalty, the fate of your council, and how long your faith can survive in a collapsing world.

Resources and Management

You manage five key resources: Faith, Morality, Secrecy, Disciples, and Money. Every decision you make affects these values, raising one often means weakening another. Maintaining balance is essential; lose control, and your cult begins to fracture from within.

Faith keeps your followers inspired, but too much of it can lead to fanaticism. Morality maintains order, but excessive virtue weakens authority. Secrecy protects your operations from outsiders, though too much isolation breeds paranoia.

Disciples

Disciples determine your influence and reach. Each one is unique, carrying their own strengths and flaws. They can be added to your council, where their abilities and their personalities begin to reveal themselves. Through them, you’ll uncover stories, secrets, and the true nature of those eager to join your cult with their special abilities.

 Money

Money sustains the temple and the council that governs it. It keeps your cult alive, funds your rituals, and fuels your influence. Wealth can be earned in many ways through trade, persuasion, or less holy methods. With enough gold, you can purchase buildings and establishments that strengthen your cult’s survival and expand its reach.

Doctrines

Your doctrine, chosen at the start of each game, defines your approach to leadership. Each doctrine introduces unique cards, events, and moral constraints, offering a new strategic experience every time. The world evolves dynamically through seasonal and day-night cycles, altering the opportunities, challenges, and tone of your decisions.

Council

The council system introduces additional depth: every recruited character brings strengths, flaws, and hidden motives. Their loyalties shift based on your choices, and their influence shapes the fate of your doctrine. In Will You Be My Disciple?, leadership is not about holiness, it’s about survival through control, compromise, and the illusion of order.
