Why Early Access?

“Early access will allow us to receive player feedback that will insure we're on the right path with development. With the way Crown's Trail is structured, the earlier we can hone down on what the perfect player experience is, the better it will be for future development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Anywhere from 1-3 years. It depends on whether we switch to working on Crown's Trial full time or continue working on it part-time.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Currently the game has its opening sequence, a tutorial fight, and 3 bosses. For the full release, we plan to include 6-7 other bosses aside from the final boss, as well as the epilogue.

Other additional features are also planned, such as more responsive dialogue from the bosses that react to how you play.

Finally, we plan to include as many localizations as we can for the full release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently the game has its opening sequence, a tutorial fight, and 3 bosses. The art quality, environments, animations, mechanics, and over all gameplay experience are very close to the final intended result. It is of course subject to change with player feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We believe the current pricing reflects the current content available in the game. With future content, the price will increase.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We would like to gather as much feedback as we can from all possible sources, such as in game reports, our Discord server, and Steam forums. We'll use that to continue pursuing the best possible experience that Crown's Trial can offer.”
