A note on the "souls-like, souls-lie."

A lot of games claim the souls-like tag for marketability and visibility.

The following is an express explanation as to why this game has this tag:

There is dodge rolling. There are i-frames. There is stamina.

And yet.... ALAS.

There is no "lock-on mechanic."

Instead: gROMPsTOMPERS has an experimental mixture of "third-person shooter" as well as "souls-like" mechanics.

Gameplay revolves around precise well-aimed movement, in conjunction with the standard challenge of dodge-rolling and attack spacing and timing.

Trying to get past a shield? -Aim past it.
Trying to duck under an enemy attack? -GO UNDER IT.
Trying to [...literally anything]? -PHYSICS.

So?
It's a souls-like AND a third-person shooter.


As such, it is strongly recommended that u only play gROMPsTOMPERS if you are good at videogames.
