About This Game

A short time ago in a land nearby...
An Evil Chef has stolen all of the cookbooks, and is making everyone eat Junk Food.
Who can save us!?
Max Overeater!!

Travel from the tall snow-covered mountains, to the flat brush-filled plains, to the wide open blue lake, to the back alleys filled with garbage cans and bags, and to the kitchen with all of its stainless steel appliances, to pursue the Evil Chef.
Three different side-scroller levels are provided for each location, plus a main overview map showing the progress.
Then battle the Evil Chef in his kitchen to see if Max Overeater can save the day!

Eat the healthy foods, jump over the bad foods, and collect the mints and powerups.
Powerups include an Antacid, Dinner Bell, and a Free Player Life.
Plus a Key to unlock the Chests where the Cookbooks are held captive on the Bonus Levels.
Also break the Cookbooks out of their jail cells.
Crates containing mints can be punched or jumped on, to gain more pickup points.
And jail cells containing trapped cookbooks can be punched or jumped on, to set the cookbooks free.

A bonus map of each location lets you collect more mints and increase your score without having the timer run.

When each level loads, you have a limited time to run from the start location to the end location.
The clock timer counts down as you run.  Can you complete the run before the timer expires?
As you get down low in remaining seconds, your player runs slower, you can prevent this by eating the Antacid.
Run past the trail markers that will ding and show you where you will restart if you fail.
Jump up through and onto clouds, run up stacks of tires, and jump over obstacles.
Max will dance when he gets to the end of each trail successfully.
If you have retrieved the dinner bell during that level, it will cut seconds off of your score to complete the level.

Each level has different tasks and different obstacles in different orders that you must figure out how to beat.
Exact jump timing is required to jump over many multi-pickups that are placed beside each other.
It can take some practice to get the timing just right.

If you run out of extra lives, you will lose the game, so be sure to grab every extra life on every map where it is found.

The game design is very cartoon, with custom characters that look like modern animated shows.
The game levels and story are designed to be whimsical.
This game is fun for children from ages 4 and up, including adults who like fun games.
