About This Game

Your first attempt to recreate a lost medicine failed. You now live a life of an impostor. But is it just you, or is there something off about everyone you get close to?

Play as Sky, a female junior scientist, to craft the lost medicine and  redeem the broken life story of yours and of your loved ones. Unless the said loved ones destroy themselves and the City first – by their own deadly invention. 

• A first-person female protagonist POV: this is a woman's world.

• A branching story system with multiple endings: your choices affect the clues you discover, and a good few characters' life spans.

• A complex hidden relationship system: every choice informs everyone’s perception of you and affects your experience far beyond "they like/dislike you". Choose who you want to be at every interaction. Shock or delight other character when veering off your usual behaviour. 

• Investigate the new order of the soft post-apocalyptic setting: 20 years ago the Earth got rearranged by earthquakes. The planet separated into a handful of safe zones and the barely inhabited quake-ridden land of questionable ecological state. It's not wise to leave the safety of the Science City but you will.

• Heart matters: To hell with the policy of not dating your colleagues! Enjoy the euphoria and the heartbreak of a hushed slow burn enemies-to-lovers or friends-to-lovers romance with either gender. Want to keep it entirely platonic? The main story can be enjoyed fully on its own.

• Pet love: An escaped lab animal known as “definitely used to be a mouse”. They chose you. There is no love purer than theirs. They will follow you throughout the game if you let them.

• Experimental foods: Science City always needs guinea pigs test subjects for their experimental foods. Start your work day right by getting one of their daily specials. Possible side effects:

  ✸ seeing everything in pink,

  ✸ be unable to tell a lie,

  ✸ seeing your crush in everyone you look at etc.

• Restore broken life stories: Your companions are all children of an apocalyptic era, and have their early memories fractured or erased. Uncover, piece together and strategically reveal their life stories to derail their destructive plans or push them into the abyss.

• Restore your own story: A child of an apocalyptic era yourself, you will experience fragmented flashbacks of the event that sealed your fate as a medical scientist willing to get her job done at any cost. True ending will allow to relive the event and reverse the harmful decision.

• Painstaking 100% human art only: fine colour pencil look, hand-drawn with human-made imperfections (stats: 50 000–100 000 strokes per background/sprite).

• All-original immersive art: hand-drawn main characters and 10+ supporting characters that feature 5 to 90 expressions each, outfit changes and item art.

• Original Soundtrack: 25+ tracks commissioned exclusively for Deathwish Bloom.
