About This Game

Deathwish Bloom is a romance mystery visual novel set in a quake-ridden post-apocalyptic world.

Can you survive your own secrets?

You didn't mean to lie, but was there really any other way? No one else knew the cure existed before it didn't.
You didn't mean to fail that experiment, but could you ever fully trust your mind since the day of the first earthquake?
At least your morally questionable allies don’t need an explanation. That was obvious. You were head over heels.

Play as Sky Harlow, a disgraced researcher whose survival depends on revealing secrets rather than science.
Thread your way through the Science City where nothing you do goes unnoticed.

You can neither survive nor recreate the cure alone.

Romance Alice, whose unhinged effervescence only matches her loyalty.
Cody, who sees through you and refuses to look away.
Gabriel, who offers a wholesome future that you don't deserve.
Or grow platonic friendships and risk losing them.
Every bond makes it harder to avoid what each of you would be better off burying.

In this fractured world, there is still so much to love.
But no one is safe to love and stay unchanged.
Especially you.

ROMANCEABLE CHARACTERS:

CHARACTER CAST:

FEATURES:

  • First-person narrative: live inside Sky's head for a deeply personal experience of the world through her eyes.

  • Romance options: pursue a forbidden slow-burn enemies-to-lovers romance with Cody, or friends-to-lovers romance with Alice or Gabriel. Flirt freely, but not everyone who winks at you has your best interests at heart.

  • Nuanced relationship system: no visible score. Your relationships go far beyond 'like/dislike' stats. Just make your choice and live with what people thought you meant. Characters interpret your actions over time, changing how they treat you and what they do.

  • Branching story with multiple endings: is Sky's story one of tenderness and redemption? Or will she succumb to revenge and destruction? Can those you let in survive your irreversible choices? Can you?

  • Experimental foods: get a Science City Bar daily "special" that alters your perception, behaviour or interactions. Lose the ability to lie, see the world in pink or mistake strangers for your crush. Adapt or spiral when your own mind cannot be trusted.

  • Pet love: An escaped lab animal known as “GMOuse”. They chose you. There is no love purer than theirs. They will comfort you throughout the game if you choose them back.

  • Explore the fractured world: 20 years ago catastrophic earthquakes started reshaping the planet. Humanity carries on as best they can in isolated Safe Zones or barely survives in the unstable lands beyond. It's not wise to leave the safety of the Science City but you will. Meet the people who adapted to living in the Quake Lands and team up to scavenge the rarities the earth spits up in beautiful spots of questionable ecological state.

  • 100% hand-drawn art: every visual is created with tens of thousands of individual strokes by acclaimed artist Irina Kuksova.
