About This Game

Deathwish Bloom is a nuanced relationship visual novel set in a soft-apocalypse world. Your choices are irreversible.

Play as Sky Harlow, a disgraced researcher whose survival depends on how and when you reveal secrets rather than science. Thread carefully through the Science City where nothing you do goes unnoticed. Find a way to recreate the cure before you are cast back to the quake lands.

Fall in love with Alice, whose warmth feels dangerously close to peace, or Cody, who sees through you and refuses to look away. Grow platonic friendships or risk losing them. Every bond makes it harder to avoid the truths that each of you would rather bury than remember.

In this fractured world, there is still so much to love.
But no one is safe to love.
Especially you.

ROMANCEABLE CHARACTERS:

CHARACTER CAST:

FEATURES:

  • First-person female protagonist: live inside Sky's head for a deeply personal narrative shaped by your choices.

  • Romance options: pursue a forbidden slow-burn enemies-to-lovers romance with Cody, or friends-to-lovers romance with Alice. Flirt freely, but not everyone who winks at you has your best interests at heart.

  • Nuanced relationship system: no 'like/dislike' stats and no visible score. Characters interpret your actions over time, shaping how they respond in the future. Shock or delight your friends, enemies, and lovers by veering off your usual behaviour. There is no 'hard reset' for relationships.

  • Branching story with multiple endings: is Sky's story one of tenderness and redemption? Or will she succumb to revenge and destruction? Can everyone survive your choices? Find your way to the life you want, or die in a dozen ways.

  • Experimental foods: get a Science City Bar daily "special" that alters your perception, behaviour or interactions. Lose the ability to lie, see the world in pink or mistake strangers for your crush. Adapt or spiral when your own mind cannot be trusted.

  • Explore the fractured world: 20 years ago catastrophic earthquakes reshaped the planet. Humanity lives in isolated Safe Zones or barely survives in the unstable lands beyond. It's not wise to leave the safety of the Science City but you will.

  • 100% hand-drawn art: all visuals are created with tens of thousands of individual strokes by acclaimed artist Irina Kuksova.

  • Original Soundtrack: over 25 tracks commissioned exclusively for Deathwish Bloom.
