What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The scope of the game is massive, but I wanted to share the game early because feedback early is incredibly important in shaping the development of this game. Instead of having to wait till all countries and all features are done, players can mess around with the game as it develops over time and influence how new features will be added.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“2 years.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan on having several countries with several of their unique features and systems to be in some level of implementation. Also several customization features which will allow for a more customizable sandbox experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is in early alpha, but currently you can use the scenario editor to create custom scenarios for your campaigns, create custom parties and politicians. Save and load campaigns, run for elections with different types for different countries like FPTP for the U.S, MMP for Germany, and SNTV for Japan.

Each level of government has metrics which are modified by legislation which can be passed or proposed either by other AI office holders or the player if the player has a seat in office.

For full details please check the About This section / description of the store page.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, it will be the same.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is crucial in making the game a fun and polished experience that is also performant, but not sacrificing on customizability and scope.”

About This Game

Rise Through the Ranks of Power

Start as a local politician and build your career through authentic electoral systems, legislative battles, and more. Every decision you make can shape the world and your history.

A Living Political Ecosystem

Hundreds of politicians with unique views and ideologies will vote and behave differently. Metrics affect party popularity, which creates different election results over time. Regions that used to be more likely to vote for one party may shift to another party instead.

Deep Legislative Simulation

Draft legislation that matters. Propose bills on everything from minimum wage to healthcare reform, and watch as AI politicians vote based on their ideology, personal stances, and political party. These bills, policies, and laws affect the metrics of the city, state, or nation, and can make the difference if you want to win re-election or help your party gain popularity.

Key Features:

  • Outlet-specific article framing: same event reported positively by supportive outlets, negatively by opposition outlets, neutrally by balanced sources

  • Bill lifecycle coverage tracking legislation from committee votes through floor passage to executive signing or veto

  • Controversy-based coverage intensity: high-cost or divisive bills receive more extensive reporting

  • Authentic journalism elements: citizen quotes reflecting public sentiment, expert commentary, follow-up reporting, and varied story angles

  • Dynamic politician generation with realistic names

  • Procedural party creation with logos, factions, and leadership structures

  • Coalition systems are generated for every electoral district
