Created by a solo developer, Rosaluna is a deeply personal vision—an RPG experience focused entirely on delivering an emotional, cathartic experience where complex mechanics become the narrative tools.

SETTING

In this low-fantasy world inspired by the Vietnamese Northern region made desolate by years of a never-ending winter, where morality is a luxury, and survival is what truly matters.

The revered Mountain God remained silent, while all wildlife mysteriously disappeared, save for the hungry wolves.

And yet, even in these toughest of times, hospitality persists.

Is this divine judgement, or other forces unknown? How will man and nature overcome this cataclysm?

STORY

Rosie is a red-hooded little girl who had to learn to navigate this merciless world at a young age.

Accompanied by Pearly, a Celestial rabbit, Rosie sets out on a journey to find the perpetrator and bring justice to her beloved grandma. 

Vengeance is just, though will it bring the closure she seeks?

OVERWORLD

Navigate the world of Rosaluna using familiar side-scroller gameplay, in a cinematic 2.5D perspective. Jump and scale across the treacherous mountains of perilous terrains.

Rosie's trusty companion, Pearly, offers numerous traversal and navigation abilities, including turning into a hammer or a trampoline.

COMBAT

Inspired by Paper Mario, FINAL FANTASY, and Library of Ruina - Rosaluna is a bold attempt at crafting a demanding, visceral RPG battle experience by blending the thrill of real-time action and the strategic decision-making of turn-based systems through the Active Command Battle (ACB) system.

• Active: Time is a resource. During battle, everything ticks along with the flow of time. Status effects, skill cooldowns, and many other elements of battle are in real-time.

• Command: Strategy is not enough. Time stops as you or your enemies take action. Endure and triumph using a variety of defensive maneuvers such as precise countering and jumping against enemy attacks.

• Battle: Rosaluna emphasizes on the emotional heights of conflicts through the Emotion Level system, where both sides become fierce and dangerous the longer a battle goes on.
