What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“This is a pretty ambitious project, especially for a solo developer so community feedback is very important. I want the players to get their hands on the game as soon as possible to make sure it is steered in the correct direction.

All of the information below is subject to change.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“From the release of the first chapter, every chapter after that will take approximately 1-2 years each, with the game planned to have at least 4 of them.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to have a complete story campaign, with multiple endings and a complete skill tree.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game's first chapter is half-way done. This will be the most important one since this is where most of the main mechanics are established (complete hud, a shop system, weapon customization, gamepad support and an arena mode (where you farm xp to unlock new weapons, attachments and cosmetics)), with content being added on top by future chapters.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to gradually increase the price as i release new chapters.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Besides feedback, the community can partially contribute to new content, that being weapons and cosmetics, by submitting them in a monthly contest in the Discord server. In addition to that the game is planned to have mod support (with a complete tutorial series) when it goes into Early Access, so that the passionate people can make their own stuff for others to play with.”

About This Game

MDT is a fast-paced side-scroller shooter filled with violence and dread. You don't really know why, but you keep going through hordes of humanoid, and not so much, enemies that inhabit this world. A world that seems both dead and alive at the same time.

What for? - It's up to you to decide.

Violence

There are plenty of ways in which you can destroy your enemies: good old guns, melee weapons, grenades, kicking, exploding barrels and more to come! Serious damage = serious consequences, humanoid enemies can be gibed and completely exploded if you deal enough damage in one blow.

All these rules also apply to you...

Creativity

Play in your own style, almost all weapons are viable in their own way. With weapon attachments, player customization and the ability to unlock and buy cosmetics and guns in the future (and with mod support for all of that on top) - the only limit for how to cause havoc is your imagination.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

The mature content of this game includes:
- Semi-realistic gore

- Themes of suicide and self-harm

* - Content can be changed and/or disabled
