About This Game

Thirteen years ago, Damon Hartfield III disappeared on a warm summer night in East Golden. His best friend, Jenny Cosgrove, swore she was the last to see him. She remembers him laughing, standing at the claw machine, trying to win her a stuffed toy. She turned her head for a moment, and when she looked back, he was gone.

No sound. No warning.

No Damon.

The story she told has never added up. The concert she mentioned was canceled before it ever began. The arcade she described had already burned down a week earlier. The only footage from that night shows her leaving alone, running like she knew something but did not want to face it.

Even Damon’s parents claimed he was not missing at all, choosing instead to erase him with excuses and distance.

You play as EMCEE, the newest recruit of the Inquisitor’s Faction, a group that investigates cases which bend reality, twist memory, and refuse to be forgotten. EMCEE is inexperienced and unsure of themselves, but they have a strange gift for noticing details that no one else catches. Small things that slip between the cracks. Little truths that do not belong where they are found.

Reopening Damon’s case means following every contradiction to its source. It means sifting through places that should not exist, memories that do not agree with each other, and people who are desperate to keep the truth buried. Each step forward feels like pulling a thread that should never have been touched. The deeper you go, the more fragile the world around you begins to feel.

The question is no longer just what happened to Damon Hartfield. It becomes whether the world you are standing in can even hold the answer.

And if it cannot, what happens to the people still searching.
