About This Game

Groove Defense is a tower defense game where the music is tied directly to your build.

Each tower adds a layer to the track. As you expand your defense, the song fills out. By the later waves, what you’re hearing reflects the choices you made early on.

Enemies move in time with the tempo and attacks land on the beat, but the outcome depends on strategy. Tower placement, upgrade paths, and how you manage pressure across lanes determine whether you hold the line.

The Soundcheck Demo includes four stages built around distinct styles: Synthwave, Slasher Flick, 2010s Pop, and 80s-inspired synth. Additional stages are planned for the full release.

Tour Mode offers a structured campaign. Free Play lets you experiment with builds. Rhythm Remix turns your run’s soundtrack into a timing-based challenge inspired by classic note-lane rhythm games.

I’ve spent most of my career as a composer, and this started as a simple idea: make music in games matter mechanically, not just emotionally. Groove Defense is a solo project built around that idea.
