Enter the most intense debates of Ancient Rome.

Senatus is a strategy and card game set in the heart of the Roman Senate, where rhetoric, cunning, and planning mean everything. Your goal: influence the votes, climb the political hierarchy, and become Consul of Rome.

⚖️ Master the Art of Debate

Each match represents a senatorial debate in which you must sway the majority of senators to vote for or against a specific decision. 

The color of the decision (Blue, Red, Green, or Yellow) sets the tone of the debate, and your cards determine how the Senate will lean by the end of the session.

Play your cards on a 5x5 board, use influence arrows to convert rival cards, and unleash the unique abilities of each card type to impose your political will.

🧠 Strategy and Tactics

Start each debate with 7 cards chosen from your personal deck.

Cards feature colors, directional arrows, and stats for Attack (Oratory) and Defense (Prestige).
When two cards clash, the more influential one converts its rival’s color — potentially triggering chain reactions across the board.

Once all cards have been played, the Senate votes: the winner is the one who controls the majority of the board with their target color.

Between debates, you’ll have 15 days to explore iconic landmarks such as the Campus Martius, the Temple of Jupiter Capitolinus, or the Roman Forum, seeking new cards and allies.
You always know the topic of the next debate in advance, allowing you to plan which cards and colors you’ll need to succeed.

🎖️ Rise Through the Political Ranks

Your career is measured by the Relevance Meter (0–10).
Each victory brings you closer to power; each defeat pushes you toward obscurity.

• 0–2: Senator – no bonuses.

• 2–4: Aedile – gain a bronze card.

• 4–6: Tribune of the Plebs – gain a silver card.

• 6–8: Praetor – gain a gold card.

• 8–10: Consul – achieve the supreme rank and unlock diamond cards.

But beware: if your Relevance drops to 0, you’ll lose your seat in the Senate… and your political career will come to an end.

As you rise in rank, your opponents will become tougher, debates more intense, and rewards more valuable.

To advance to each new rank, you must face a special “boss debate” against a powerful political rival who will test your deck, your strategy, and your mastery of persuasion.
