About DigSite

Step into the golden age of archeology as an ambitious archeologist eager to uncover the secrets of ancient Egypt. DigSite invites players to dig, explore, clean, document, and donate long-forgotten relics hidden beneath the vast desert sands.

Buy a dig site license, choose the right spot and dig for valuable artifacts. Physical labor will quickly drain your energy so drink water to refill it or find shaded spots where you can rest in the heat of the day.

When you contribute a rare artifact to the museum, the rewards are significant. You’ll earn substantial recognition and monetary compensation. This funding can be used to expand your excavation operations.

After cleaning and restoring the finds, it’s time to document your discoveries. Use a vintage camera to take photos of artifacts before sending them off to a museum. This way you will not only preserve the artifacts for future generations but will also help you build a reputation as one of the greatest archeologists of your time.

As darkness falls, the temperature drops sharply, and the once scorching sands now feel cold and treacherous. With limited visibility, you’ll need to use a lantern to find your way back to your tent and rest for the night. The day-night cycle is critical to your journey, as certain actions and explorations can only be carried out during daylight. The desert at night is treacherous - creatures like snakes and scorpions lurk, waiting to strike.

Additional Features:

  • Sometimes weather is not good for digging, you can encounter sandstorm.

  • Make sure to handle artifacts with care, they are fragile and can be broken.

  • There are puzzles to be solved which can reveal unique artifacts.

  • Choose between top-down view or first-person view.

  • Artifacts are randomly placed so each play-through is different.

  • If you have little money you can earn some by taking photo of tourists or giving old books to the professor.

  • Identify forged artifacts before donating to the museum to prevent reputation damage.

  • Some artifacts may be cursed affecting the player with bad luck.

  • Use a truck to transport heavy items.
