“As a student development team, the early access mode is crucial for us. It allows us to deliver the game's core story, characters, and gameplay to players as early as possible and gather the most genuine feedback. We believe that refining the game together with the core player community is the best way to perfect this work and realize its full potential.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Roughly four months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The current early access version includes the content of the first chapter of the game, showcasing the main characters, basic gameplay, and the beginning of the story. For the full version, we plan to:
(1) gradually release the subsequent chapters, further developing the intertwined destinies of the male protagonist and the two female leads, and unlocking more endings.
(2) In future updates, we plan to add full Chinese voiceovers for all main characters, and optimize the interface and presentation effects to enhance immersion and the overall completeness of the work.
(3) Our goal is to create a high-quality Chinese-style visual novel with a tightly connected plot and deeply engaging characters. Player feedback will directly help us optimize the narrative pacing and branching design.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current early access version offers approximately 30-60 minutes of gameplay for Chapter One. Players can: experience the story of Chapter One, meet two main heroines, and get a preliminary taste of the game's fun through dialogue choices. Please note that the current early access version does not yet include character voiceovers.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The early access version is currently public and free, but the full version will require payment when it is released.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Establish an official QQ group as the main channel for direct communication with players.
Regularly post development logs on platforms like Bilibili, Douyin, and Xiaohongshu to share development progress and future plans.
Actively solicit player opinions on key in-game designs (text, background music, etc.) through community surveys and feedback forms.

About This Game

"Yu Chang Jian Yu Xiu Chun Dao" is a GALGAME set in ancient Chinese society. Players will take on the role of our protagonist, Lang Xian, and while solving puzzles, they will spend a joyful and heartwarming time in a romantic comedy with two heroines.

Story Synopsis: In the 26th year of the Jiajing reign, Lang Xian (male protagonist) runs an inn in the capital. One day, a Taoist named Yue Tang (Heroine 1) and an apothecary named Lin Ya (Heroine 2) arrive at the inn one after another, and the three hit it off like old friends. However, the good times are short-lived. By certain chance occurrences, Lang Xian discovers that the Taoist Yue Tang's true identity is an assassin sent to the capital, while the apothecary Lin Ya is actually a member of the secret police investigating assassins. In this tense situation, Lang Xian chooses to balance the two heroines, protecting their true identities from being discovered by one another. What ensues is a series of hilarious misunderstandings and comedic events at the inn...

Story Background: The year is the 26th of the Jiajing reign, the fifth year after the famous assassination attempt by a palace maid, known as the Renyin Palace Incident. In this year, Empress Dowager Fang, who was responsible for dealing with the assassin maid, passed away, though historical accounts of her death are varied. The events of the game take place two months before Empress Fang's death.
