About This Game

LONG LOST ARCADE STYLE. REBUILT FOR TODAY.

Vector Seven is my attempt to make the kind of arcade game we might have played back in the 1980s... except this one never actually existed.

It’s a fast, simple arcade shooter set across looping battlefields. Fly in either direction, defend the installations on the ground and try to survive as the enemy waves get tougher.

THE BATTLEFIELD NEVER ENDS

The levels loop around, so flying off one side brings you back around the other. Enemies you leave behind can quickly become a problem again.

DEFEND THE GROUND

Enemy bombers will attack the installations below you so you’ll need to keep an eye on what’s happening on the ground as well as dealing with enemies in the air.

SURVIVE THE ONSLAUGHT

Each wave gets harder, with different enemy formations, bombing runs, kamikaze attacks and other hazards thrown into the mix.

TURN THE TIDE

Pick up weapon upgrades, use shields to protect yourself and the ground installations, and use hyperspace to get out of trouble or quickly reach another part of the battlefield.

CHASE THE HIGH SCORE

It’s designed around short arcade style runs and trying to do a little better each time. Learn how the enemies behave, get better at controlling the ship and see how high you can push your score on the Steam leaderboards.

Vector Seven is basically my take on the early arcade shooters I grew up with, but with modern controls, effects and a few ideas of my own.

A lost vector arcade game from the 1980s that never actually existed... or did it? ;)
