Welcome to Zeroth, a post-life roguelike adventure where you guide fallen adventurers through the 0th circle of Haell to find closure.

Each time your adventurer fails (or succeeds!), a new one will have their turn to start from scratch... but beware: Zeroth is constantly changing and every journey through its treacherous walls will be a unique challenge.

Relentlessly challenging

There are no persistent upgrades that make the game easier as you play more, you must learn how to handle the challenges thrown at you with the tools you have at your disposal. Every successful run of Zeroth is a hard-fought achievement!

Predictably unpredictable

Every part of a journey through Zeroth is different. Not just the map, traps and enemies, but even the effects of items change each run. Adapt your playstyle to what you find and learn how to exploit the environment to your benefit, or your adventurers won't get very far.

Emergently absurd

Your adventurers have their own thoughts on how things are going, and they're all too happy to break the 4th wall to tell you what they think of your decisions! Add clowns throwing banana peels, seductive nymphs removing your armour and leprechauns stealing your money to a simulated physics sandbox and watch the hilarity ensue.

Ruthlessly equal

Every enemy in Zeroth has the same capabilities as your adventurers - from equipping armour, to quaffing potions, to learning and casting spells. Be careful what you leave lying on the ground - you might come to regret it when it is used against you!

Perpetually evolving (with free updates!)

We at Contrary Games believe that Zeroth is more fun every time a new idea is brought to life within its halls and we have more plans and ideas than you could imagine! Our plan is to continue to add more enemies, items, areas and bosses to the game via free updates, and we'd love to hear and incorporate your ideas too!
