Block States is the start of my journey into game dev — a fast-paced delivery challenge in a post-apocalyptic city. Inspired by classic FPS movement, focused on speed and precision, with low-poly visuals and pure time-trial gameplay

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access gives me the chance to put Block States in front of real players and learn from their experiences. I want to see how people approach the game, what they enjoy most, and what feedback they share. This input will help shape the direction of development and make the final game stronger and more fun.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The plan is to keep Block States in Early Access for about a year. This gives me time to expand the game while also reacting to player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version focuses on the core delivery mechanics and one playable map. For the full version, I’d like to expand the game with more content and features. This may include:

5–10 unique maps to deliver across
A polished menu and smoother overall UI experience
Online scoreboards to compare runs
Achievement systems for best score

These plans will grow and adapt based on player feedback throughout Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version includes the main mechanics of the game, with one map available to play. Players can complete deliveries, race against the clock, and practice improving their routes.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, the price is planned to stay the same once the game leaves Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to actively involve the community through Steam’s Community Hub, Discord, and YouTube. Players will be able to share feedback, suggest ideas, and follow development progress, including live sessions where I create and test new maps.”

About This Game

Block States is where my journey into game development begins — my first attempt at building not just a game, but a feeling. It’s my way of exploring what makes a world exciting to move through, what makes a challenge feel personal, and how simplicity can still hit hard.

You play as a delivery runner in a ruined city split into blocks. The world has fallen apart, but deliveries still have to go through — and time never stops ticking. Every run is a race against the clock, a puzzle of motion, precision, and rhythm.

There are no enemies, no chaos — just you, the city, and the question: how fast can you go?

The visuals are stripped to the bone — low-poly, clean, minimal. Nothing stands between you and the flow. It’s all about mastering routes, finding shortcuts, and shaving seconds off your best time until it feels like flying.

This is the start of something for me. A small, focused game — but one that captures everything that drew me into making games in the first place: speed, atmosphere, and that moment when it all just clicks.
