A Unique Combat-Platforming Challenge

The map is a playground and the enemies are just another toy in it. Gain height and speed by using the enemies to the fullest as platforms and grappling points. Symbiote is momentum heavy and Mildew's speed is uncapped. Sliding down slopes will speed you up and jumping off ramps will send you flying.

A Wide Variety of Missions To Complete

Every collectable is tied to a challenge that will test your abilities in combat and platforming and your ability to weave the two together.  The clock is running so plan out a route and try and see if you can set a record time!

A Serious Story

Symbiote breaks the mold of the playful platformer and delivers a story with stakes. It explores themes of childhood trauma, psychosis, public land ownership, and the struggles of connecting with others as a lifelong outcast.

A Solo Dev Passion Project

Symbiote is a game developed off of the questions: "What if combat in 3D platformers engaged with the platforming mechanics?" and "What if platforming in action games wasn't just a tacked-on feature?" There's so much potential in combining the strengths of both genres into a greater whole. I developed Symbiote to finally achieve that.
