the land no longer fit for human habitation

Behind the grandeur of industrial production

lies a factory line whose true product is waste—

be it the refuse that resists disposal,

or the surplus of those who are no longer required.

Yet, the land once thought vast enough to contain them

has vanished from this planet.

In response to this problem,

gravity was reversed.

Like the metabolism of a body,

we periodically export the by-products of modernity to the “outer world.”

As long as modernity remains a privilege,

this cycle will never end.

Since then,

our souls have been in exile under the force of gravity.
