« I need time to see what issues come up and fix them on different devices. I plan to add features to the game, especially if it gets interest. This is the first game I have published, so getting feedback early will help to avoid taking it in the wrong direction. »

Pendant combien de temps environ ce jeu sera-t-il en accès anticipé ?

« Two years or less. I would most likely be looking to move away from early access in October or November of 2027. If the game gets a lot of interest, I will update it more frequently. I will more than likely add content and features even after I take it out of early access.  »

« Here are the concepts I am currently focused on and exploring for potential future updates:

-Electricity: I am exploring the possibility of adding wood and coal generators. I may consider implementing powerful, late-game sources, such as nuclear power tiles.

-Automation: I am investigating the addition of automated construction and repair machines to help manage your base remotely.

-Defense: I am exploring designs for new defenses, such as automatic anti-missile turrets and a novel shield generator mechanic.

-AI Opponents: I aim to develop AI opponents for single-player play.

-Player Guidance: I plan to create additional structured content, such as a focused tutorial or a small campaign to guide new players.

The highest priority is stability and performance, and potentially allowing the game to run on mobile devices.

-World Expansion: I expect to add more types of tiles and new map layouts as development progresses.

-Performance Scaling: I am actively investigating ways to improve performance for massive worlds significantly. This involves a technical effort to reduce the number of game objects by consolidating map geometry and textures. These changes may allow for much larger, more expansive maps in the future.

« The game is already a fun, playable experience, even in its current Early Access state. Everything described in the game's product description is fully playable and implemented at this time. The core loop is fully functional, offering an engaging game as is. Lots of small quality-of-life features are not in the game that you would expect in a finished game. (Missing options menu buttons, animations, and other similar stuff that do not affect the gameplay) »

« The price will likely not change. »

« Community feedback is the central focus of our Early Access period. I plan to actively involve players through the official Discord server.

Bug Reporting: I strongly encourage players to report any technical issues or bugs they encounter directly on the Discord. If it is broken, give me a chance to fix it.

Feature Ideas: I welcome all suggestions for new content, mechanics, and quality-of-life improvements.

I will try to read all submissions and, if the ideas are useful and align with the game's long-term vision, I will implement them as my time allows. This direct communication loop is essential for guiding the game's direction. »

Build Battle is a 2D multiplayer strategy game. Squeeze every useful resource from beautiful maps, build a base, and nuke your opponents. Fast-paced matches filled with explosions in a decorated, but fully destructible world. The perfect game for a quick, chaotic fight with friends.

MANAGE FROM ABOVE

Deploy your rover to take command of the sector. Your opponents have discovered the resources here as well and want control. Use your rover to build from the materials it finds down below. 

EXTRACT AND EXPAND

Once the rover is on the ground, it's time to gather materials. Metal, wood, dirt, and even more advanced materials found deep in the ground will supply your rover and future base. Build automated mines and defend your base as the other teams try to stake their claim and harness the resources found.

LOAD UP

Build weapons: artillery cannons, missile launchers, and mortar shells filled with napalm. Shoot them manually and try to avoid missing and wasting valuable ammo. Upgrade your weapons and unload everything at once. Do not let the other team strike first. Burn wooden structures to the ground and poke through heavily fortified metal walls. See if you can shoot down their missiles before they hit your base.

FLAG WARFARE

Destroy the other team's flag to shut down their claim on this sector once and for all. It is time to move on to the next battle.

STRATEGY + DESTRUCTION

Build Battle is the perfect mix of thinking, planning, and non-stop action. The early game is filled with gathering resources to set up the perfect base, and sneaking in a few cheap shots while they are down in the mine. The late game is trying to balance building massive weapons with armoring yourself to prevent the small stuff from getting through. Hopefully, your mines don't run out before theirs do, and you can get through the defenses they have set up to win the game.
