You play as Valerie, a young but highly skilled marksman, a horde sweeper. She arrives at a new place, remote outpost near an old, abandoned city teeming with monsters. Each day, she ventures into the city, clearing its streets of zombies and mutants, and occasionally chats with the shelter's warden, an old horde sweeper named Den.

Over a century ago, humanity endured a horrific apocalypse that nearly brought civilization to an end. Yet, with desperate perseverance, scattered tribes of survivors are slowly reclaiming the land.
