What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to launch ASTRO COMPANY in Early Access to gather feedback on balance, new content, and progression systems. The core loop is already playable and fun, but tower defense games depend heavily on fine-tuned difficulty and variety. Community input will help us expand towers, cards, enemies, and meta-progression in the right direction.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect 6–12 months of Early Access. This timeframe allows us to add new towers, cards, enemies, bosses, and polish the progression systems while reacting to community feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the game with:
More towers with unique mechanics
A larger pool of upgrade cards, including legendary transformations
Additional enemy types, elites, and bosses
Expanded meta-progression and permanent upgrades
Improvements to AI and pathfinding
More achievements, polish, and balance updates”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already contains:
Endless gameplay loop with waves of enemies
Core building mechanics (build only between waves, Processing Units, Miners, AI Core system)
Basic set of towers and economy structures
Dozens of upgrade cards, including rare and legendary ones
Escalating waves with asteroids, ships, and one boss encounter
Achievements, leaderboards, and permanent meta-progression foundation

It’s a complete game loop, but with fewer content options than we plan for the full release.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We plan to launch at an accessible price during Early Access.
As we add more content, features, and polish, we may gradually increase the price after leaving Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will actively collect feedback through Steam Discussions, our Discord server, and a dedicated Google Form where players can easily submit bug reports, suggestions, and ideas.

This way we can:
Quickly track bugs and issues
Gather ideas for new towers, cards, and upgrades
Let players vote on balance changes
Share progress and roadmap updates transparently”

About This Game

An endless tower defense where you build the path, shape your defenses, and break the game with powerful synergies.

Astro Company is an endless low-poly tower defense roguelike where you defend a central Core against relentless waves of asteroids, ships, and bosses.

But the enemies don't come with a predefined route.

Before the battle begins, you create their path to the Core yourself.
Make them take the long way around your defenses, lead them through kill zones, and design a base that works together with the route you've created.

Once the waves begin, every decision matters.

Build the battlefield before you defend it.

Enemy spawn points surround your Core, but their routes are yours to design.
Draw paths across the battlefield and decide exactly where the enemy will travel.

A longer route can give your towers more time to fire - but the available path length is limited.
Create chokepoints, overlap tower ranges, protect important infrastructure, and turn the battlefield itself into part of your strategy.

Construction is only possible during the breaks between waves.

No panic-building while enemies are already attacking.

Every Processing Unit, Miner, defensive tower, and placement has to be planned ahead.
Some towers even require multiple waves to finish construction, forcing you to commit resources before you know exactly what the next waves will bring.

Up to approximately the 30th wave, you expand your base, economy, and defenses.

After that comes the endless phase - where preparation ends and survival becomes the only objective.

Every run evolves differently.

After several waves, choose one of multiple randomly offered cards.

Increase damage.
Add projectiles.
Improve mining.
Upgrade the Core.
Change how your towers behave.

Rare combinations can create powerful synergies - and legendary cards can completely transform the way a tower works.

But cards aren't the only thing shaping your run.

Artifacts provide additional modifiers and bonuses that can change your strategy even further.
Combine them with your cards, towers, economy, and path layout to create builds that become stronger - and sometimes completely ridiculous - as the run continues.

Survival needs an economy.

Scrap, iron, and crystals fuel your expansion.

Place Miners near mineable asteroids to gather resources, but every investment into your economy is an investment that isn't immediately protecting the Core.

Do you build another Miner and prepare for the future?

Or spend everything on firepower before the next wave arrives?

The enemy doesn't stop evolving either.

From drifting asteroids to armed ships and massive bosses, every wave becomes more demanding.

Some enemies simply rush toward the Core.
Others shoot back, summon reinforcements, or force you to adapt your defenses and targeting priorities.

After the 30th wave, the endless mode begins - stronger enemies, tougher bosses, and increasingly brutal scaling designed to eventually overwhelm even the strongest builds.

Each run rewards you with more than just a score.

  • Unlock new towers with unique abilities

  • Discover new cards and powerful artifacts

  • Experiment with different tower, card, artifact, and path combinations

  • Start future runs with additional advantages

  • Earn permanent meta-upgrades that help you push deeper into the endless waves

  • Build your own enemy paths - design routes, chokepoints, and kill zones around your Core

  • Endless tower defense survival in a stylized low-poly universe

  • No panic-building - construction is only possible between waves

  • Plan ahead - some towers require multiple waves to complete

  • Roguelike cards - reshape towers, the Core, your economy, and the rules of each run

  • Artifacts - stack additional modifiers and create new build possibilities

  • Economy vs. survival - every Miner is an investment that could have been another weapon

  • Broken synergies - combine effects until your build becomes completely absurd

  • Endless scaling - the longer you survive, the harder the game fights back

Build the path. Build the defense. Break the game.

From your first fragile defenses to the chaos of wave thirty and beyond, every decision shapes the run.

Where will the enemies travel?
Where will you build?
Will you invest in your economy or prepare for the next attack?
And what happens when your cards and artifacts turn a simple tower into something completely different?

How long can your Core survive before everything collapses?

Add ASTRO COMPANY to your wishlist and prepare for the endless defense.
