"KupalaDemo" is a linear demo of a dark Slavic visual novel that blends horror, mystery, and drama with elements of folklore. It invites you into a world of unease and tension, wrapped in the familiar warmth of a Russian village.

The demo lasts around 30 minutes. You follow a girl named Anya and her family, who arrive at her grandmother’s quiet countryside home on the eve of Ivan Kupala Night — the most mystical holiday of the pagan Slavs.

The house is warm and welcoming, yet grandmother’s tales of Baba Yaga carry a grim undertone, and outside the windows, the forest grows darker. The demo is fully linear and designed to introduce the characters and set the mood — the comfort of a rustic home mixed with an ever-growing suspense.

The full game, now in active development, will open into a branching narrative where your choices shape the fate of Anya and her family. You’ll find yourself in the heart of Kupala celebrations: bonfires blazing, wreaths drifting on the river, fern flowers hidden in the forest, and ancient creatures awakening in the dark.

The story dives deeper into Slavic myths, folkloric beings, and ritual traditions — but not every choice will be simple. Only some of them will keep Anya alive.

The game will be available in both Russian and English.
