🛑 Playtest Phase 1 Wrap-up & What's Next!

A huge thank you to everyone who jumped in to test Unseal during Phase 1! Your time and feedback mean the world to us and have been invaluable in shaping the game.

On June 26th, we'll be temporarily closing the playtest build so we can put our full focus into completing the remaining areas and polishing the overall experience for Playtest 2.0, our upcoming vertical slice, coming this fall.

Already have access? You've still got a few days, jump in before June 26th and please take a moment to fill out our Playtest Feedback Form after your session. Every response helps us more than you know!

Waiting in the queue? Your spot is saved, no need to do anything. Sign-ups will remain open throughout development, and you'll be among the first invited when Playtest 2.0 launches.

You awaken as Ash, a tiny figure with a charred body, a caged head, and no memory of your past. The world before you is the shattered reflection of your mind's fragmented memories. To recover your identity, you must plunge into the origin of this strange world, solve maddening puzzles, and escape the grotesque creatures that hunt you.

In this third-person puzzle-adventure game, you must traverse a chilling and unsettling world. The only path forward is to confront the terrible truth as it is revealed, and the growing influence of an unknown and unspeakable power.

Key Features

Traverse a series of surreal and unique worlds connected by portals. Explore environments enveloped in a Cosmic Horror aesthetic where the very laws of reality are warped by forces that transcend human understanding.

Survival & Evasion

Your journey is filled with traps, and you will be hunted by monstrous and grotesque creatures. Your only option is to evade and outsmart them to survive. Overcome dangers by solving puzzles and using every available object around you to progress.

Master Your Destiny

Your intelligence and agility are your only tools. Use your full range of movement to traverse dangerous areas:

Agile Traversal: Climb objects and ladders, hang and swing across deadly traps, and interact with the environment by manipulating objects (grabbing, throwing, and operating).

Ethereal Vision: Activate your unique detection power to help you locate hidden items, crucial clues, and the obscured paths ahead.

Reveal the Truth

Collect fragmented information and key items scattered throughout the nightmare. Reconstruct your broken soul and piece together the truth hidden at the heart of the mystery. As you delve deeper into the darkness, you will also unlock unique outfits to customize your appearance.

UNSEAL is a Cosmic Horror Puzzle-Adventure game focused on psychological and existential dread, not graphic violence or sexual content.

Mature Content includes:

Gore/Violence: Minimal. There is no blood or gory violence. The mature content comes from scenes of peril and the implied threat of being destroyed by monstrous entities.

Disturbing Imagery: The Protagonist is a small, charred figure wearing an iron cage on its head, and enemies are abstract, monstrous beings.

Mature Topics: The game’s story deals with mature themes of fragmented identity, insanity, the loss of humanity.
