Why Early Access?

“Anthracite is currently in a very early stage of development, and Early Access allows us to continue building the game with player feedback as a major part of the process. Our goal is to grow the game over time, improve the core systems, add more content, and shape the experience around what players respond to most.

We want Early Access players to understand that the game is playable, but not yet fully polished. Some systems, balance, UI, optimization, and content may change as development continues. We are committed to continuing development, listening to feedback, and improving the game step by step.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently estimate that Anthracite may remain in Early Access until late 2027. This timeline may change depending on development progress, player feedback, and the scope of improvements we decide to focus on.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version of Anthracite to be more polished, better optimized, and more complete overall. During Early Access, we expect to work on improving existing mechanics, refining the UI, balancing gameplay, fixing bugs, and expanding the amount of content available.

We also plan to explore larger improvements over time, such as better multiplayer systems, stronger progression, more replayability, and competitive-style statistics or leaderboards. The goal is not PvP, but to give players more ways to compare progress, performance, and survival results.

Some features may change based on testing and community feedback, so our plans may evolve as development continues.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version of Anthracite is playable and includes the core experience, but it is still rough in several areas. Some mechanics, UI elements, balancing, and optimization are not yet at the level we want them to be.

Players should expect bugs, unfinished polish, and changes to some systems as we continue development. Our focus during Early Access is to improve stability, performance, gameplay feel, and overall quality while continuing to add and refine content.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We're not planning on changing the price when we leave early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is an important part of our Early Access plan. We want players to help guide which areas of Anthracite need the most attention, including gameplay balance, UI feel, multiplayer experience, content ideas, optimization, and overall fun.

We plan to listen to feedback through Steam discussions, reviews, bug reports, and community suggestions. Player feedback may influence what mechanics we improve, what content we prioritize, and what direction future updates take.”
