Why Early Access?

“At its heart, Pyramidion is an experience built on physics and cooperation. The most enjoyable moments in our game emerge when two players achieve perfect synergy to solve a challenging puzzle. To maximize the fun of our physics-based gameplay and to fine-tune this delicate cooperative balance, we need the invaluable feedback and experiences of our player community.

Early Access allows us to develop the game hand-in-hand with our players. We want to learn directly from you what makes a puzzle challenging, which abilities feel the most satisfying, and most importantly, what enhances the co-op experience. The voice of our community will be our primary guide as we introduce new roles, obstacles, and mechanics planned for the future.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are planning for an Early Access period of approximately 4 months. However, this timeline is flexible as our main priority is to deliver a polished and feature-complete experience based on the feedback we receive. We will transition to a full release once we are confident that the game is stable, well-balanced, and includes all the content planned for the 1.0 version. We will keep the community regularly updated on our progress toward this goal.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

More Roles: We plan to introduce the Engineer and Priest roles, adding new strategic layers and team dynamics to the gameplay.

Expanded Content: We aim to add new puzzles, more complex ramp designs, and unique environmental challenges to further test the cooperative skills of our players.

Deeper Gameplay: Our goal is to introduce more abilities and interaction options for both existing and new roles to enhance the game's strategic depth.

Full Polish & Balancing: The full version will include extensive bug fixes, performance optimizations, balance adjustments based on community feedback, and overall quality-of-life improvements for a much smoother experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version of Pyramidion offers a complete, fully playable cooperative experience from the base of the pyramid to its summit. Players currently have access to the following features:

Fully functional 2-player online co-op via Steam.

The complete core game objective of moving the stone to the top.

Physics-based mechanics, including the stone fracturing and checkpoint systems.

Two playable roles with unique abilities: the Worker and the Foreman.

As it is an Early Access title, players may encounter some bugs or areas that need further balancing. Your feedback on these aspects will be critical as we prepare the game for its full launch.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we want to reward our early supporters who contribute to the development of Pyramidion with their feedback by offering the game at a lower price point during the Early Access period.

We plan to increase the price for the full 1.0 release to reflect the expanded content and features. Anyone who purchases Pyramidion during Early Access will, of course, receive all future updates up to and including the full release version at no additional cost.”
