About This Demo

Welcome to the Department Of Obviously Overcomplicated Opening Operation Research Service — D.O.O.O.O.O.R.S., a research institution dedicated to the noble yet unnecessary science of opening and closing doors.

As a newly appointed intern researcher, you will operate an old CRT monitoring terminal to remotely command Test Subjects through a series of rigorous yet absurd “door control science” experiments.

Our motto:
“When God closes a door, we science it open.”

About the Game

Project D.O.O.O.O.O.R.S DEMO is a pure logic puzzle game.
Every move adheres to explicit rules and strict sequential logic — no action elements, no randomness, no hidden information. Only reasoning, experimentation, and the satisfaction of a perfectly deduced solution.

Its core mechanic revolves around pressure pad activation — door opens”, exploring countless variations of this simple dynamic: bridge doors, barrier doors, AND gates, NOT gates — all manifestations of door control science.

The design focuses on the chemical reactions between mechanisms, avoiding superfluous features to keep researchers fully engaged in the logic of state shifts, spatial manipulation, and temporal reasoning.

Key Features

  • Distinct Atmosphere — DOS-like interface, CCTV surveillance feeds, and detached institutional documentation create a bizarrely immersive laboratory tone.

  • Minimalist Mechanics — Built entirely upon “pressure pad triggers door open,” yet through overlapping rules and timing interplay, it forms dynamic spatial puzzles.

  • Deadpan Humor — System prompts and research reports are delivered in an impeccably serious tone, laced with irony and bureaucratic absurdity.

  • Box Carrying — Replacing traditional box-pushing with deliberate “box carrying,” emphasizing strategic reasoning over mechanical repetition — the act of carrying becomes a logical operation in itself.

  • Handcrafted Puzzles — Each experiment is uniquely designed, emphasizing deduction over brute force. Every solution is a product of reasoning, not luck.

Quality of Life

  • No time-sensitive inputs

  • Gamepad / keyboard support

  • Most puzzles are optional

  • Automatic recording and replay of optimal solutions

  • Post-experiment statistics (time, steps, undos, etc. — unrelated to victory conditions) for reflection and analysis

  • Input buffering and configurable repeat delay for smoother operation

DEMO Content

The DEMO includes 3 early experiment groups, totaling 23 puzzles, with an estimated playtime of around 2 hours.

For Players Who…

  • Appreciate pure logic and the eureka moments born from mechanical interaction.

  • Enjoy the sterile, bureaucratic tone of experimental satire.

  • Admire puzzle craftsmanship in games like I Wanna Lockpick, Monster Expedition, or Stephen’s Sausage Roll.

Then welcome to Project D.O.O.O.O.O.R.S DEMO
verify your logic, and test your sanity.
