About This Game

[Don't] Let Go is a quiet, emotional and atmospheric 3D Action-Adventure Puzzle game. Bound to a mysterious entity by a powerful connection you must work together to solve puzzles, defeat enemies and escape the ancient city.

Narrative:

You will venture to an ancient and mostly abandoned city located deep within a crater on a journey to see whether the forgotten city is inhabitable for your wandering tribe. Here you will find a mysterious cube with a destructive past that latches onto you, forming a symbiotic rope-like connection. You must use this new found friend to escape the city by solving its many puzzles, avoiding its many threats and allowing the cube to grow.

However… all is not as it seems… As the cube grows, it will start to slowly act like an anchor weighing you down and making your escape almost impossible. Do you have what it takes to flee the cursed land…

Progression:

On your journey you and the mysterious cube will venture to regain its long lost power. By revisiting churches from a past era you can upgrade the cubes power, allowing it to grow in size and strength enabling you to reach new areas and solve more complex puzzles. However... as the cube grows so does its ability to prevent your escape, can you really leave it behind?

Goals and Challenges:

After successfully locating and abandoned city with potential to be your tribes new home you find yourself unable to leave, the exit blocked by two ancient tentacles. Together with your cube venture to different points in the city to destroy the tentacles, allowing you to flee the cursed land.

Along the way, subordinates of the tentacle will attempt to sever your connection with the cube, imprisoning you both and preventing your escape. Fight multiple different enemy types, forcing you to use the cube in unique ways to defeat them all.

Solve ancient puzzles to unlock new areas and progress through the city on your journey to leave with your new friend.

Primary Game Mechanic:

After discovering the cube it forms a unique bond to you, forming a symbiotic rope like connection between the two. Acting like an anchor, the cube and this ancient connection will prevent you from moving far without it, holding you back and limiting your journey. As you go further from the cube your energy will decrease and reliance on it will increase forcing you to stay near it and maintain your energy.

The cube is your primary weapon throughout the journey, by throwing it at enemies knock them back and eventually vanish them to push forward and find a way out of the city.  The cube can also be thrown at objects allowing you to alter the environment and solve puzzles to progress further.

Knowing its true power the mystical enemies will try to take the cube from you and return it to the prison from which you found it. Your goal is to protect it and keep it safe, stunning, hitting and defeating all the enemies that block your path and threaten its safety
