About This Game

A colossal crack has appeared in the fabric of reality – the 26th Dimension is attacking the 27th Dimension!

With unprecedented energy and alien technology, it seeks to disrupt the order of the 27th Dimension and shake the balance of the Multiverse. But all is not lost. In the midst of the chaos, the local deity of the 27th Dimension calls upon you – chosen, unique, ready for battle. You have been recruited, not just as a soldier, but as the defender of an entire plane of reality.

Your mission begins now. Your fight will decide the fate of an entire dimension.

A 2D Run-and-Gun with unpredictable enemies – and an editor that puts the monsters in your hands.

The 27th Dimension is a focused 2D run-and-gun platformer: 30 handcrafted levels, including 3 boss battles, 4 different weapons, and 8 types of enemies that don’t just walk back and forth – they move along random paths. Every run forces you to react, adapt, and improvise.

Once you complete the campaign, you unlock an enemy editor that lets you determine which enemies appear in each level.

Run, shoot, improvise

Enemies in The 27th Dimension do not follow fixed paths. Each type of enemy moves randomly. You can’t memorize set patterns and autopilot through. You must react to constantly changing enemy positions.

  • Learn behaviors instead of fixed movement patterns.

  • Replay levels to create cleaner, faster, and riskier runs.

30 levels, 3 bosses, 4 difficulty settings

  • The campaign takes you through 30 handcrafted stages, including 3 boss battles that test different aspects of your movement and accuracy.

  • 4 difficulty levels, ranging from accessible to merciless.

  • Tailored tuning for each difficulty level to provide a fitting challenge.

  • Whether you just want to see the credits or chase perfect runs – there’s a setting for you.

Unlock the enemy editor

After completing the game once, the enemy editor is unlocked, allowing you to set which enemy types appear in each level. It’s not a full level editor – the geometry remains the same – but you control what comes at you. You can also set random enemy selection.

75 achievements to unlock

If you like clear objectives, The 27th Dimension comes with a wide achievement collection:

  • Progress achievements for the campaign.

  • Difficulty-based challenges.

  • Long-term goals like total kills or no-death runs.

  • Use achievements as a checklist to master the game beyond your first playthrough.

Modern pixel art for 1080p

The game’s visual style is modern pixel art, optimized for 1920×1080. Clear, easy-to-read characters and projectiles.

  • 21:9 aspect ratio / WQHD 3440x1440 is also supported.

  • Distinct silhouettes for each enemy type.

  • Simple but clear environments with a focus on readability in gameplay.

  • Lower resolutions are supported, but the visuals are optimized for 1080p.

Comfort & controls

  • Full support for keyboard and controller.

  • Adjustable audio and gameplay options.

  • Quick restarts, so you can jump right back in after a death.

Note on graphics

Nearly all in-game elements were handcrafted or built using purchased asset packs. Two of the three boss designs are based on AI-generated concept art, which was then manually edited and integrated. Tiles, player characters, environments, and effects were manually placed and fine-tuned.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

The second and third bosses use AI-generated templates. All other artwork is human-created.
