What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The intent is to provide a demo of the game so that players can get a feel for the mechanics and provide feedback while the rest of the game is being filled out. This way, the community can be actively involved in development while we work towards a full release. The demo is meant to be a vertical slice of the game with all major systems (combat, platforming, dialogue, etc.) in place. One of the towers is available to play, with several others planned for the full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game will be in early access until it is content-complete, planned for some time in 2027.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full version of the game we plan to add more towers to fight through, secrets to find, and expanded interactions between the main characters.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Feature-complete, but with only the first tower available for play. All features listed in the "About This" section are fully implemented into the game's current build, additional details can be found there.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes- the early access version will be available for free, while the full release will be priced.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback for the game's development is welcome, and can be directed to our email address or the Steam forums. This feedback will have potential implications for all areas of the game including mechanics, character interactions, level design, and the game's overall narrative. While our vision for the game is clear, we also want to see which areas of the game players respond to most and which (if any) need additional work.”

About This Game

Climb the Tower.

Fight the Magic.

Slay the Mage.

  • Easy to learn, hard to master

Your abilities are straightforward and all are available from the start of the game. However, the clever player can creatively utilize them for advanced movement through levels built to accommodate beginners and pros alike. Players seeking mastery can strive to achieve A or even S rankings on each level, while those wanting less of a challenge can use the assist mode to streamline some of the movement mechanics.

  • Fueled by rage

As you destroy objects and collect motes of magic, you’ll collect Rage in order to perform special attacks and recover from damage. Start your Rampage when the Rage meter is filled to fully heal, boost speed, and double all damage.

  • Play well, move faster

Maintain your Rampage and rack up a high combo to turn the barbarian from a lumbering brute into a speeding bullet of rage.

  • Curious conversation

An introverted savant vs. a boneheaded brute- these begrudging conversational partners have a variety of branching dialogues to explore as the barbarian barges further and further into the mage’s domain.
