What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I launched a small demo during July 2025, to ensure the game functioned and was enjoyable - now I've confirmed that the game is in a good state, I don't want to keep everyone waiting too long for a release. So, I decided to release the game in Early Access, and continue work on the game during this period. During Early Access, I intend to re-balance the game based on community feedback, add extra maps and areas that provide new items based on what the community wants, and expand upon the game's other game modes. Essentially, I want the community to help shape the last 20% of the game with me after playing it themselves, to ensure it's an experience that you're all after.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I plan for the game to be in Early Access for 3 months, as I plan to polish the game based on player feedback during this time, as well as ensure balancing and progression is properly tuned.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to add more content during the game's Early Access - primarily, new maps and enemies, and potentially some new difficulty modes, all subject to player feedback. The new content and features will be determined during the Early Access, and so cannot be confirmed just yet.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The length of the gameplay varies significantly based on RNG, Player Skill, and knowledge of the genre - however, the current gameplay had a rough playtime of anywhere between 5 - 10 hours, with roughly 30 hours of playtime if going for 100% completion. The plan is to increase this significantly between now and Early Access, and also during early access.

As for features and current content, everything described in the game's description has been implemented, and there is no 'missing content' - it's simply the game's length that I plan to expand, but everything before the game has all of the content currently planned to be there, although it's likely more will be added throughout Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will be slightly lower during Early Access as a thanks to all early supporters, and to reflect the difference in content between EA and release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I have an active discord server, where I read every message - feedback is considered and often implemented.”

About This Game

Chronos Trials RPG is a loot-driven, incremental roguelite where time itself is your greatest enemy. You play as the unskilled warrior and son of Chronos, the God of Time. Disappointed by your weakness, he traps you in an endless time loop—promising freedom only if you can defeat him in combat.

Battle hundreds of enemies and uncover a vast arsenal of weapons, armour, and equipment. With only a limited number of hours each day, you must travel as far as possible before the loop resets, returning you home. The more enemies you defeat, the greater the rewards you’ll find—legendary gear, secret areas, and, ultimately, a chance to confront your father.

FIND YOUR PLAYSTYLE

Featuring an autobattle combat system, Chronos Trials RPG offers countless build options. Reflect damage back at your foes, unleash flurries of strikes each turn, or harness powerful spells and abilities in mid-battle. The choice is yours—no two fights need to play the same.

UPGRADE YOUR HERO

Beyond the hundreds of items you can collect, you’ll grow stronger through the Skill Tree, unlocking new abilities and amplifying the strengths of your chosen build. Progression isn't determined entirely by RNG and lucky drops from bosses - the game provides constant opportunities to push you forward.

EACH DAY IS UNIQUE

The Relic System grants you new buffs each day, encouraging experimentation with different strategies. Whether you’re stuck or simply want to try something new, relics provide the edge you need to push further.

CHOICES MATTER

Your journey isn’t only about combat. Along the way, you’ll encounter NPCs you can choose to help—or betray—in exchange for services, shortcuts, or power. Every choice you make shapes the world and influences the game’s progression, ensuring no two playthroughs are the same.

AN EXPANSIVE SOUNDTRACK

Every area features its own unique music, creating a diverse and immersive soundtrack that enhances your adventure. Tracks seamlessly carry into combat, letting you enjoy the atmosphere without interruption.
