According to legend, a sorcerer named Singhiya cursed the land after being rejected by Princess Ratnavati, dooming Bhangarh to eternal ruin. Locals believe that anyone who stays past sunset never returns, and the Archaeological Survey of India even forbids entry after dark.

This story takes place in the late 1990s, when, inspired by curiosity and local legends, a journalist enters Bhangarh, considered the most haunted place in India.
