A chilling breeze has crept onto the shores and with it, pumpkins, cobwebs, and a mysterious fog that’s made a mess of everything. The island needs your help more than ever...

The Halloween Demo of Restore Your Island includes everything from the main experience plus :

ABOUT THIS DEMO
Thanks for trying the Restore Your Island demo! This build is a focused vertical slice of the full game that shows the heart of what we’re making: place-based ecological restoration, companion play, and cozy downtime.

What’s included in the demo

• A playable smaller island where you can survey damage, clean up debris, and discover easter eggs and treasures hidden beneath the sand.

• The revival loop: apply fertilizer to weakened trees and observe visible regrowth. Revived trees can drop bananas and coconuts that restore player energy during a session.

• Core actions: cleaning, petting and playing with your dog, collecting fruit, exploring, and upgrading tools using the in-game money by selling what you collect .

• Your dog companion: pet them and play the demo mini-game (hide & find). These interactions demonstrate bonding.

• The fireplace hub: sit by the fire, play the demo music tracks, listen to water ambience, and relax — a preview of features we’ll expand in the full game.

• English + all available interface/subtitle languages (the full release will support the same multi-language set). Steam Store

What the demo does NOT include (for clarity)

• This is a limited area slice — full map, house decorations, late-game biomes, and many planned upgrades are not in this demo.

• Progress made in the demo does not carry over to the full release.

• Achievements, Trading Card drops, Workshop, and some planned social features are not active in the demo.

Approximate playtime

• Expect 30–60 minutes to explore the demo area and experience the loop end-to-end. (Your playtime may vary depending on how much you explore and how long you spend at the fireplace.)

What we want you to test / tell us about

• Can you tell when the island is reacting to your actions? (Is visual feedback clear and satisfying?)

• Are the dog interactions fun and responsive? Any suggestions for mini-games?

• Does the fireplace feel like a restful hub? Any ideas for sounds, music, or interactions?

• Is the energy pacing (fruit rewards → actions) comfortable or too limiting/too generous?

• Any usability or clarity problems in the UI, or translation/localization issues.

• Performance, crashes, or graphical glitches on your hardware.

How to report bugs & give feedback (please use Discussions → Bug Reports)
When you post a bug or feedback, please include:

• Platform & OS: (Windows version)

• GPU / CPU / RAM: (e.g. GTX 1060, i5-8400, 16GB)

• What happened: (short description)

• Steps to reproduce: (exact steps you did)

• Expected result vs what happened:

• Attach: one screenshot or short video clip if possible.
  We’ll read every report and post ongoing fixes in the Demo → Updates thread.

Known issues (demo)

• Localization for smaller scripts is in-progress — please report any mistranslations.
  (We’ll update this list with known fixes as we patch the demo.)
