Why Early Access?

“We started out as a VR game studio (Cave Crave, Besiege VR, Thief Simulator VR: Greenview Street), and Punch Lunch will be our very first flatscreen title. Since we’ve never launched a game on Steam before, we’re turning to Early Access to help us make the jump to flatscreen gaming as smooth as possible—learning, improving, and adjusting together with your feedback along the way. We’ve always been open and transparent with our community, and we take pride in polishing our games quickly and efficiently. That won’t change—now we’re just bringing that same spirit here to Steam.”

“6-12 months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Get ready for a wild mix of over-the-top beat ’em up action and tasty cooking fun! The game takes place in a bustling city, split into colorful districts—each with its own unique look, cultural flavor, and signature cuisine. As you explore, you’ll face new enemies, discover fresh ingredients, and master quirky cooking mini-games that keep every fight (and meal) exciting. In Early Access, you’ll dive into the very first district, with 3–4 more districts planned to roll out as we cook up the full release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We’ve cooked up a playable demo that already serves both sides of the game—fighting and cooking—in their basic forms. It’s a little taste of what the full experience will bring, giving you a chance to throw some punches, whip up some dishes, and see where this feast of fun is headed! Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The full release will come at a higher price, but it’ll be packed with tons of new content and features. Jumping in during Early Access means you’ll get it at a lower price and help shape the journey along the way!”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“For daily communication we’ll be using our Discord server (3r.games/discord) expanding it with Reddit and Steam product page when it’s time for announcements. All our Discord members will be able to suggest their game ideas and vote for game elements like: fighting moves, edible powerups, enemy types, district types, cooking minigames, foodtruck customization, different game modes. We’ll also have a dedicated Discord channel for our verified internal game testers, gathering their feedback on bugs and general game impression during weekly playtesting sessions.”
