About This Game

You are the Castellan, the one in charge of Aurelwatch. It is a ruined settlement around an old watchtower, and you have a small party of heroes to help you rebuild it.

Plan every fight

Combat is turn-based and played on a grid. Moving, attacking and using abilities all cost action points, so you cannot do everything in one turn. You choose what matters most.

Where your heroes stand matters. Enemies behave in ways you can learn, so you can plan around what they are going to do. If a fight goes wrong, you can see why.

What you do in Aurelwatch matters outside

Between missions you return to your settlement. You upgrade buildings, craft equipment, help wounded companions recover, and talk to your heroes.

The campaign map connects it all. You move turn by turn, choose where to go and what to deal with first, and what you find can open new places for Aurelwatch to grow.

Heroes you get to know

You start with a small party, and more heroes join later.

Aurelian, the knight who accompanies you from the start, helps guide you through an unfamiliar world. Ylva is a mysterious wolf mage fleeing the Rabbit Inquisitors. What you decide about her in the first chapter is your first real choice, and the story remembers it.

Early Access

Castellan of Aurelwatch comes to Early Access in Q4 2026. The campaign is still being built, and some systems will grow during Early Access. Add the game to your wishlist to follow the development.
