While Cause to Exist is still in very early development, we decided to launch a small Demo of the game to gather as much playtesting feedback as possible. Creating the best gameplay experience we can is our highest priority. Traverse Yuno’s mindscape and confront her demons within.

Cause to Exist, a fast-paced, first-person combat platformer, throws you into a corrupted, living world shaped by anxiety, fear, and self-doubt. Thrown into this surreal inner landscape with no memory of how you arrived, you become Yuno, armed with newfound powers gifted by this place that aid you in the battles ahead.

Run, grapple, and fight through twisted representations of Yuno’s deepest insecurities. In this hostile yet strangely intimate and familiar world, power comes at a cost, and survival means facing what you’ve tried to forget. Every leap and battle pulls you closer to the truth behind her heartbreaking story.

Game Features:

• Fast-Paced, High-Mobility Platforming: Double jump, wall-run, slide, and grapple your way through the organic and corrupted environments with speed and flow.

• Momentum-Based Combat: Keep moving to dodge enemies, collect resources, and use your grappling vine to defeat Yuno’s anxieties. Every action has cost and reward, encouraging strategic decisions mid-combat.

• Narrative-Powered Experience: Unlike your usual first-person combat experience with gore and a “fight monsters ‘cause it’s cool” mentality, Cause to Exist tells a compelling and emotional story in a surreal psychological setting. Fighting insecurities and fears gives meaning to confrontation.
