We want to evolve this game with player input, chess enthusiasts, to make it the best it can be.

Chesscape Room is a chess variant where you have to escape through a door with your king while the your opponent hunts you down. Solve countless puzzles in campaigns, compete locally and online, and create your own campaign for others to play!

Play through countless handcrafted and procedurally generated boards in the official campaigns and try your hand at campaigns created by players like yourself!

Challenge family and friends at come with local hotseat multiplayer, or compete online against other players. Includes ranked play.

In a nutshell

There’s no opening theory to memorize, just clean, readable tactics with that “one more try” loop. Each stage is a chess puzzle that will sharpen your thinking.

Modes

Campaigns: Official and player-made campaigns to play through.
Versus: Local and online ranked multiplayer.
Custom: Generate custom boards for you to play endlessly.
Editor: A built-in editor that allows you to hand-craft boards and create your very own campaign others can play online!
