What is Squid Chess?

Squid Chess is a fast-paced real-time chess-based cast'em'up.

Have you ever been playing Chess, then you thought, wow, I could play this for my entire life! That's what those Squids did. You know the saying "LOVE OF THE GAME"? Well, those Squids loved that game TOO much.

In the distant future, beyond the extinction of the human race, the Squids fused themselves to the deep-sea cables lying underneath the ocean floor. They got really into the Internet in general, but mostly, they got really into those online competitive Chess games. 

Unfortunately, spending untold eons playing internet Chess carries with it some severe psychic de-buffs. Those Squids are traumatized by what they've seen. You wouldn't even believe it. I won't even do the injustice of explaining it here in this old Steam description. You'll just have to play it. Then you'll get what I mean.

Anyway, you are a Vile Alchemist, and it's your turn to take on the Chess-playing Squids of the distant future. Enter the magical death-match. Beat the Nightmare and liberate the Squids. It's all up to you...
