You awaken in a realm outside of time. Here lies an opportunity that has always eluded your grasp in the mortal world. Death itself offers you a chance to complete your life's work, in exchange for your help in undertaking its duties. Roam through the memories of troubled souls as you recover fragments of their being, bringing them to their final rest.

Explore the ruins of this quiet place where all things meet their end. The laws of the mortal world wear thin here; you must learn to carve your route through gateways that contort the geometry of this ever-fading landscape.

Use Death’s lantern to command the essence of life itself. Extract the waning flickers of life that you can find, and cast them into the environment around you to forge your path. Partake in the cyclical dance of life and death.
