Proč předběžný přístup?

„The game is not finished yet. In design it has to have more content and some of the existing mechanics have to be expended. Nations is being released in early access because, in the author's opinion, it is playable and should already be enjoyable for the players. Also the author needs to start earning money on the project in order to develop it further.“

Přibližně jak dlouho bude tato hra v předběžném přístupu?

„It is hard to predict for how long this game is going to stay in early access. The author has a list of features that are going to be added, but it's not closed and may be expanded. The game is expected to stay in early acces for at least 6 months, and not longer than 2 years – but it's not guaranteed.“

Jak se bude plná verze lišit od předběžného přístupu?

„The game is meant to feature much more of interesting content. There are several things that are planned to be added, including: scripts and decisions, separatist movements and revolts, in-game editor, random and scripted events, music, and enhanced society mechanics. There are also many minor mechanics to be added, and some others under consideration.“

V jaké fázi vývoje se hra nachází?

„The game is playable and contains most of the mechanics it is supposed to. The player can conduct diplomacy with other countries, manage armies and fleets, use a range of administrative options, construct buildings, manage laws, oversee production and research, and develop the economy and culture. However, it is important to note that this is the author's first project, and it may contain many shortcomings, such as bugs, balance issues, or flaws in the artificial intelligence, which are planned to be fixed before the final release. “

„The goal of the author is to listen to the players via bug reports and development suggestions in the discussion tab in community hub. A separate forum may be created for players to share their problems and ideas, but for now there are no such plans.“

Informace o hře

Nations is a real time strategy game focused on ruling a country through the history. The game provides a range of mechanics, such as economy, industry, society and wide lawmaking. You decide whether you focus on internal development of your state, or expending its territories – or maybe both of these things simultaneously.

You must provide your people with food, consumer goods, and a sense of safety, otherwise your state shall begin to collapse. Remember, that one destructive factor may cause another. Establish laws, construct buildings and manage resources in order to maintain your country stable and prosperous. Build up your military and expand to gain influence – but be careful who you attack. Some nations may be stronger than they seem. Some of them may be danger to you – conduct diplomacy and make alliances to secure your borders. Send your agents and organize covert actions to sabotage development of your enemy, or build up influence in their land. You embrace your goals and you decide how to achieve them.

The game is in early access, which means that new mechanics will be added, and some of already existing will be expanded. It is very flexible and meant to be modder friendly. Right now you can create your own nations, cultures and scenarios using simple text and graphic editors. In future support for modders is going to be expanded and an official, easy to use editor is to be added.
