License agreement between Krzysztof Steiner Games (hereinafter referred to as "KSG") and the end user (hereinafter referred to as "user") regarding the use of the game "Nations" (hereinafter referred to as "game"). Use of the game is tantamount to acceptance and signing of this agreement.
1. The user understands that any controversial content, including references to authoritarian or totalitarian systems or human rights violations, has been included in the game in order to reflect historical conditions as realistically as possible and does not promote or express support for such systems. KSG is not responsible for any offense caused by the content of the game.
2. When creating content for the game, the user retains all copyrights to it, while granting KSG a perpetual, royalty-free, attribution-free, irrevocable license to copy, transform, implementing it into the game or other KSG products, distributing and using it at its own discretion and without any restrictions on the content created by the user. User content is considered to be any files created for use by the game, for introduction into the game, or for modification of the game, as well as any content and software created based on game files (modified versions of the game), any files created by the game, and suggestions for development and changes to the game. The user has the right to distribute content for the game by any means, provided that they do not do so for commercial purposes (sale, rental, or requiring other users or KSG to pay any other form of fee for access to the content). The user has the full right to collect financial support (e.g. in the form of donations or fundraisers)
for the purpose of creating content for the game.
3.KSG is not responsible for content created for the game by the user or third parties. The user introduces additional content created by third parties at their own risk.
4.KSG is not responsible for any alterations or damage to game files made by the user, as well as any lowdowns or difficulties in the functioning of the game as a result of content created by the user or content introduced by third parties.
5. KSG is not responsible for the manner in which the user uses the Nations game, with particular regard to the use of the game for the purpose of breaking the law, promoting totalitarian or undemocratic regimes, promoting human rights violations, creating social tensions, offending feelings, or inciting wars of aggression.
6. The user has no right to distribute files of any version of the game or its modified form without the permission of KSG, nor to claim authorship of the game files, regardless of the version and modifications made. The source code of the game, as well as all its files, are the property of KSG. The user has the right to treat the purchased copy of the game as their property, provided that they do not violate the terms of this agreement.
7. KSG shall not be liable for any disruption or interruption of the game caused by technical conditions of the device used by the user.
8. KSG does not collect data about users through the game and entrusts the distribution of files and game versions to third parties. KSG is not and will not be able to confirm the identity of the user, therefore, in the event of loss of access to the possibility of obtaining files and/or versions of the game by the distributing entity (e.g. as a result of its dissolution or withdrawal of the game from distribution), KSG shall not be liable for the user's inability to obtain files and/or versions of the game, nor shall it be obliged to refund any money. KSG aims, but does not undertake, to distribute the game through stable entities and to comply with their terms and conditions so that such situations do not occur.
9. KSG reserves the right to change the content of this licence. Changes shall take effect 30 days after their publication.
10. KSG reserves the right to make unlimited changes to the game and shall not be liable for the impact of changes on content created by the user or other users and introduced by the user into the game. The user is solely responsible for backing up the game. KSG does not guarantee access to older versions of the game, although it aims, without obligation, to provide access to them to the user, as far as possible and at its own discretion.
11. The user agrees that this agreement is considered to have been concluded and signed in the Republic of Poland, and any disputes between the user and KSG will be settled in accordance with Polish law and by the relevant Polish authorities, excluding conflict of law rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The user undertakes to first seek to resolve the dispute informally, provided that it is possible to contact KSG. The user understands and accepts that in the event of a conflict of terms or meaning between the original version of this agreement drawn up in Polish and the translated version drawn up in any other language, the version drawn up in Polish shall prevail.
