Gameplay

Blackmail Directive is a gripping visual novel set in modern-day Japan, featuring cute anime-style heroines and branching storylines that lead to multiple endings.

At key story junctures, you'll obtain Memory Fragments. Piece together the ultimate truth by connecting countless subtle clues scattered throughout the narrative.

By choosing different options, you can put forward your own inferences about the event.

Characters

Tsunefuji Arisa

President of the board game club and a hardcore otaku. Born with silver hair and a socially awkward childhood, she found comfort in anime, games, and galge. Beneath her quiet exterior hides a vast knowledge of ACGN and a deep love for strategy games and adult visual novels.

Suzukawa Ruri

Arisa's online alter ego. With her silver hair, flat chest, and soft features, she's a minor celebrity in niche corners of the internet.

After growing distant from her only real-life friend in high school, Arisa created this new identity to reach out to people—posting bold cosplay photos on a secret account.

She assumed everyone thought the hair was a wig, so she never bothered to hide her face too much... but someone was watching.

Asamatsu Maki

The heiress of a wealthy local family. Maki's privileged upbringing makes her unintentionally blunt, sometimes even overbearing. But to those close to her, her honesty and directness are part of her charm.

She has a soft spot for sweets, which often brings out her surprisingly cute side.

Ozaki Saki

A mischievous member of the board game club and a true little devil. Saki feels a bit self-conscious about her modest background,—especially around someone as highborn as Maki—which often leads to sparks flying between the two.

She has a knack for drawing and a real eye for design.

Kawari Yuka

Energetic, outgoing, and effortlessly sociable, Yuka is a student council executive and one of Arisa's closest friends—perhaps because they walk to and from school together nearly every day.

Though involved in several clubs, she always makes time for the board game club—her true favorite.

Tanchi Otoha

Arisa's childhood friend and former neighbor, from elementary through middle school. To Arisa, she was always the perfect honor student.

After moving away and attending different high schools, they gradually lost touch.

But one day, a message from Arisa appears out of the blue...
