Online Massive Multiplayer

Skill and Movement based Combat

Master a fluid, responsive combat system, with creative ways to move around the map, and to slash monsters. Every weapon has its own attack pattern and rhythm, letting you adapt your fighting style to any threat that stands in your way. 

Attack with weapons and skills, dodge and strike creatively to stay in flow.

Near-Infinite Build Potential

Games tend to fall into one of two extremes: they either offer great build variety but are overly complex and burdened by too many impactless sub-systems, or they lack depth entirely.

We keep the game's character and build development simple to understand, but offer an extreme amount of creative synergies.

Each skill comes with its own skill tree, together with your class tree you can create and fine-tune your own playstyle.

Create your character and choose from a diverse variety of classes, each with its own strengths and challenges, to experiment with the gigantic arsenal of weapons and skills.

Customize your weapons with symbols to affect its effects, and add modifiers to the weapon.

Horizontal and Vertical Progression

Obsydian foxuses on horizontal progression, making all content relevant, not just the newest.

Mixed with vertical stat-progression from popular ARPG's and deep build strategies we created an unique and very rewarding experience, making your progress relevant forever.

Loot, Grow, and Evolve

Collect and craft powerful gear, unlock permanent upgrades, and evolve through a web of traits that persist across worlds. Each victory fuels your progression, granting new tools and strategies for the next descent into darkness.

Manage your equipment, to stay powerful enough to conquer new challenges.

Invest in your nexus to visit new areas, to modify your runs and make them more challenging but rewarding. 

Explore the Huge World of Obsydian

Traverse the Nexus, and explore dozens of maps: From underworld ruins, or vivid jungles filled with dangerous traps, to otherworldly voids where reality bends. Dynamic events ensure no two journeys are alike, each dripping with mystery.

Every world brings new trials: Unique quests, deadly encounters, and colossal bosses with their own attack patterns and bullet-hell-like fury. Learn their moves and adapt your build to carve your name into their flesh.
