What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Through Early Access, we hope to share the existing chapter with a wider audience while developing future chapters. Player feedback will help us understand how people engage with the game's fragmented narratives, exploration, and approach to representing difficult histories.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently estimate that TUNE will remain in Early Access for approximately 12 to 18 months. As each chapter involves extensive historical research, interviews, and development, this timeline may change depending on our progress and player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version focuses on the Angola chapter. For the full version, we plan to expand TUNE with additional stories exploring how animals experience different conflicts and regions.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version includes the playable Angola chapter, a single-player experience exploring the impact of landmines and war on animals. This chapter provides a complete playable experience, while additional chapters remain in development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We currently plan to offer TUNE for free during Early Access and after its full release. However, we may reconsider this approach as we introduce additional chapters and content. Any potential changes to our pricing plans will be communicated in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to use Steam Community discussions and development updates to share our progress and gather feedback.”

About This Game
See the unseen. Hear the unheard.
The war has ended, but much of your past has faded with it. One memory remains: a being who was not human, who once stayed by your side, and a sound you remember almost as a prayer. Years later, you set out to find its source.

TUNE is a research-driven interactive journalism game about the overlooked lives of animals affected by war. To follow that fading sound, you have developed a tuning system that allows you to explore a hidden world of sound and memory.

Move through a darkened, satellite-like landscape, illuminating the terrain as you explore. Turn the radio dial, listen through the static, and search for faint signals. Each discovery reveals fragments of testimony, research, and forgotten stories, inviting you to piece together what happened in places marked by war.

Your journey begins in Angola, where decades of conflict have left lasting consequences for wildlife and the land. From landmines and poaching to habitat destruction and the changing relationships between humans and animals, TUNE invites you to look beyond the familiar history of war and discover the lives that have too often gone unnoticed.
