Dante's venerable poem The Divine Comedy has supplanted the old faith, bringing about a golden age of righteousness among humanity. Yet this spiritual renaissance is shattered when the promises of The Divine Comedy are suddenly subverted by mysterious powers. Humanity degenerates into something sinister and the world is thrust into chaos.

Breach the depths of Hell and battle against demonic forces as a warrior-poet who has been lured into and trapped within the underworld. As you descend the infernal circles, seeking an escape, you confront ever-stronger foes while struggling to atone for your sinful past.
